Here you will find new or replacement game components.
These are summarised below. The Colours
page explains why I chose the colours for company charters and share
certificates.
I also provide kits
which support a number of variants of the
game.
-
Company charters -
these are card mats that group together the assets of a
company. I have made these as small as I can, to save
space on the playing table: they have just enough space for
the cash, trains and markers. Each charter also
displays one table that summarises the game phases and
another that shows values of multiple shares in the company.
Each charter also includes a set of markers, which replace
the plastic counters that come with the game.
-
Share certificates
- these are the same as those supplied with the game, except
that they match the colours of the company charters above.
Also, they are all the same size - in my copies of the game,
the share certificates provided with Unit 1 were larger than
those in Units 2 and 3.
-
Share Price Indices
- These include a table that shows how much the share price
should increase for a given income, so that you don't have
to work it out in your head. They also include a
colour-coded track for recording the current round. (Both these
ideas originated with Chris Lawson).
-
Miscellaneous
Components - I use a simple piece of A4 card as a
space for unsold trains and for the bank pool. I also
produced some small tables to show the effects of phase
transitions, which are just expanded versions of the tables
on each company charter.
I don't claim any
expertise in graphic design. If anyone is interested in
producing more sophisticated versions of these components,
please get in touch.
